Pizza, Bugs, and Fun March 3, 2012
Monday, 30 January 2012 19:00

We are announcing a Joomla! Pizza Bugs and Fun event scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2012. The event is global for virtual participants with local venues where ever they are organized. We squashed a lot of bugs last month, but as more people use a new release, we always find more. We'll also have documentation ready to be worked on.

A World in Which the Bugs Are Very Big (And Robotic) [Wtf]
Thursday, 24 February 2011 22:40
Scott Bain's Micromachina are intended to make the viewer consider questions of nature, urbanization, genetic modification, and mechanization. How do they do that? By showing a world in which bugs are terrifying massive machine-filled super creatures. And, yes, those are real hollowed-out bugs Bain's using. Gross. More »

Bugs Squashed From Five Continents
Written by
Thursday, 12 March 2009 01:17

Almost every day, someone from the Joomla! Bug Squad (JBS) is working fixing bugs in Joomla!. In addition, we sometimes get together (virtually, of course!) and have a bug-squashing party. Last weekend's was a doozy! Here are some numbers:

  • 30+ bugs fixed
  • 14+ active participants (plus many community members who had reported bugs and, in many cases, provided code fixes)
  • 11 countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Hungary, India, Netherlands, Slovenia, Sweden, Thailand, U.S.)
  • 5 continents (Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America)
  • 1 improved software package

So, a huge thank you to everyone who helped out.

And, now, a special offer. Do you want to learn Joomla! inside and out? Contribute to the community? Have fun working with fabulous people?  If so, you should consider joining the JBS. Applications accepted for a limited time only (March through Feburary). This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or apply at the Google Group. Thanks!
