Safari and Mac Developer Program members can download Safari 5.1 Developer Preview and take advantage of new technologies, including support for full-screen webpages, media caching with the HTML5 application cache, and better graphics acceleration on Windows. Mac Developer Program members can also download Safari 5.1 Developer Preview for Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows.

If you're an Apple developer, you can now download the a second developer preview release of OS X 10.7 (Lion). TechCrunch believes it's pretty close to the finished version of the operating system. Aside from sweeping bug and stability fixes, Developer Preview 2 will install on 2011 MacBook Pros and apparently has an updated version of iCal. HP Snagged a Former Apple Exec to Help Convince People to Make WebOS Apps [Smartphones]

HP just went and hired Richard Kerris to serve as their new VP of worldwide developer relations for WebOS. In addition to working at LucasArts as their CTO, Kerris worked on Apple's worldwide developer relations team in the first half of the 2000s, where he prodded developers to start cranking out apps for OS X.
