ANNALEE SAYS: It was winter. I travelled to London by train, passing through endless snowy fields and arriving at the hotel to pristine white sheets. The snow and the sea were as close as I've ever seen. On this familiar route, I always look for a small ruined building which stands on ragged cliffs overhanging the sea. At the hotel, the room was warm and I was happy to rest on the comfortable spacious bed. The orange walls matched my hair. I was blushing because I was a little shy and nervous. In [I]The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals[/I], Charles Darwin described blushing as the most peculiar and most human of all expressions. I may use this as evidence for being peculiar and human if ever it should come into question. Read more: |
