I love shoes, I really do. But I've never had a pair of shoes hand crafted and repaired by the delicate touch of a cobbler. These guys, Red Wing Shoes (and I'm sure other quality boot making companies), take pride in their work, fixing details as small as sewing through the same hole, re-fitting shoes to mimic the exact worn-in fit, re-soling to brand new, and everything else.
